Food allergies are an immediate immune system reaction sparked by the binding of an IgE antibody to a mast cell thereby causing a release of histamine.
The most common reaction for inhaled allergens is IgE. The best value test is the Genova IgE Inhalant Panel, which looks for 27 of the most common ones.
For IgE foods, the best is Genova’s IgE Food Panel, which tests 37 common foods.
The most common reaction is IgG antibody. This usually signifies a chronic problem with a food.
The best here is Genova IgG Food Panel, which includes Total IgE.
The Cyrex 3, cyrex 4 and cyrex 10 panels measure a combined total of IgG and IgA antibodies so is more comprehensive in my view. IgA antibodies are formed well before IgG so it can show you a developing problem.
You can do ALCAT 150, 200, 300, Chemicals and Moulds
Fructose can be done simply using a breath test; there isn’t a gene test yet. All the breath tests I get done via a UK lab who uses Breathtrackers. They do the lactose, fructose and SIBO hydrogen breath tests for us.
We can see what level of histamine you have in your system and if you have enough of the DAO enzyme needed to break it down. I can do those tests separately but you get the right info if you have them both done as in the Histamine Intolerance test. The test is from Biolab and is done in blood plasma or urine. Dr Walsh speaks about how low or high histamine levels affect mental health.
I test for these using the Organic Acid Test from Genova
I can do any Genova, Doctor’s Data, Cyrex, Spectracell, ZRT or Biolab tests and many more, so if there is any test that you are interested in just email me on sm_telo(at)yahoo.co.uk
